Phase Locked Loop Lab

Using what we learned about phase locked loops we constructed a system in the laboratory. We used the 4046 IC chip as the main part of the circuit. The chip contains the major parts of the PLL: the phase comparator and VCO. External resistors and capacitors were also needed to construct the system. The gallery contains images of the circuit my group constructed in the lab. When the circuit was running correctly we took our own frequency sweep and calculated the slope using Microsoft Excel.

C2 = .0033μF
R1 = 47k
R2 = 33k
C1 = 500pF
Input capacitor = .47μF
